Application

CI-1045 is suitable for application in the upper product lines, in heat exchangers as well as in reflux flow lines. It provides good corrosion protection against hydrogen sulfide, hydrochloric acid and organic acids. For application, pH should be adjusted to approximately 5 – 6 with a neutralizing amine.

Rate of Addition

A dosage of 10 – 30 ppm CI-1045 is recommended for continues treatment, calculated on the total amount of overhead distillate. For each application the optimum addition rate depends on the individual conditions.

Specialty Chemicals:

CI-1045 can be stored for 1 year in tightly closed original containers at normal outdoor temperatures.
