Falcor 9603 forms a filming complex with iron to corrosion anodes in neutral or alkaline medium and in presence of oxidizing agents such as dissolved oxygen.
Advantages
Falcor 9603 reacts also to corrosion cathodes by stabilized zinc salts preventing thus generalized corrosion and pitting.
Falcor 9603 also contains an inhibitor specific to copper and cupric alloys avoiding steel corrosion due to an electrochemical copper deposit.
Falcor 9603 increases the precipitation level of calcium carbonate and modifies its crystalline structure to give a fluid and non – sticking mud and dispersed the micro – precipitates, iron oxides and suspending matters.
Falcor 9603 is synergic formulation of molybdate, phosphoric derivatives, of carboxylic compounds and of zinc salts, recommended in the circuits recirculated on cooling towers, fed with slightly mineralized, softened or demineralized water and characterized by high skin temperatures.
Usage
Falcor 9603 will be injected as supplied or after dilution at a concentration > 15 % in softened water, preferably by a dosing pump forcing in the system through the suction of the circulation pumps. The materials of construction of the dosing equipment, pumps, joints, tanks, should be of EPDM, PP, PVC, PVDF or 316 L stainless steel. The dose rate depends principally of the temperatures encountered at different points in the installation. At the starting–up of treatment, the generally preconized dosage is 300 mg/L of circulation water during 10 days. Then, the maintenance dosage should be between 100 and 150 mg/L of circulation water.
In each case, out Technical Department carries out a detailed study on site in order to define the optimum dose and the conditions of application.
COMPATIBILITY
Falcor 9603 is compatible with our Biocides, within concentration limits to be defined by our Technical Department.
ANALYTICAL MEASUREMENT
The concentration in Falcor 9603 is determined according to test method number 8048 PHOSPHOROUSE REACTIVE (HACH Apparatus) for measuring Total phosphate.
HANDLING & STORAGE
Falcor 9603 is a concentrated solution which does not require any particular precautions other than protection from frost. Precautions should be observed in use: wearing of gloves and safety glasses during handling.
PACKAGING
Non-returnable plastic drums of 250 kg net and returnable containers of 1000 kg net.
