CI-1012 is a water-soluble / oil dispersible organic corrosion inhibitor. When the oil lines have a high percentage of water cut, a water soluble inhibitor is the best. It has been designed for use in oil pipelines and production equipment in oil process systems. CI-1012 is based on a blend of imidazoline salts that produces a very effective and stable film on oil pipeline process surfaces and surface facilities, together with a novel amine derivative surfactants, which improves the water solubility of the product. It is an effective corrosion inhibitor against CO₂ and H₂S corrosion and high corrosive water content. It has excellent high flash point characteristics and environmental friendly characteristics.

Application

CI-1012 should be continuously injected directly from drums into the line or can be pre-diluted with fresh water and then be injected into the fluid stream. The most effective treating rate must be determined in the field or by laboratory methods, but indicative dosage rates are between 10-20 ppm per total fluids.
